Update: May 2nd, 2025

As we continue our district-wide technology migration, we wanted to share a few important updates and reminders with all staff. Please review the following update.

1. Cisco Webex Activation for District Deskphones

Staff members who have a district deskphone (not personal devices) will receive a Cisco Webex activation email before the end of the month. This email will contain instructions to activate your account.

Action Required:

  • Activation must be completed within 15 days of receiving the email.
  • We will communicate directly with affected staff, including details on what to look for and what to expect.

2. Google Chrome Extensions Survey for District Devices

If you use a district-provided computer (Windows, Mac, or Chromebook) and rely on extensions in Google Chrome, please complete the following survey:

This is necessary because, as we migrate away from the ISD’s Google environment into Western’s own, the technology department needs a list of required extensions. This will ensure your extensions are available when you receive your devices this summer.

3. Building Presentations: Google Migration Process

The technology department has scheduled times with each building during the week of May 5th to provide a brief presentation covering the migration process for Google services (including email and Drive).

During these sessions:

  • Staff will receive information and instructions on next steps.
  • Migration details will be shared.
