Technology Migration

As shared in the recent district updates, our district will officially migrate from the JCISD technology consortium to a collaborative partnership with Western School District Technology and All Covered, a renowned IT services provider, starting July 1, 2025. All Covered will assume responsibility for managing our equipment, software, communication systems, and related technologies.

This shift aligns with our commitment to enhancing the technology experience for our staff, students, and visitors. Over the past several months, we have been working closely with All Covered to develop a comprehensive implementation plan and timeline. As we progress through this process, we are committed to keeping you informed at every step.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: The Technology Department will send regular email updates throughout this process. Each email will contain new, critical information and may require specific actions from staff. Please ensure you:
  - Read all technology-related emails thoroughly.
  - Complete any required actions by their deadlines.
  - Keep track of important dates and requirements.

Required Actions:
No action is needed from you at this time. The technology department will keep you informed by providing regular updates. You can expect to receive a weekly email containing relevant information, along with any necessary steps or instructions that you may need.

Technology Office Hours:
Our technology team will provide in-person consultations by appointment, with dates and times to be announced. Due to the current workload in the technology department, support will only be provided by scheduled appointment.

Timeline:
Here are a few important dates; a full, current calendar can be found on the district website.
• May 5th, 2025 - Google Transfer Process Shared with Elementary & HS WEA Staff
• May 8th, 2025 - Google Transfer Process Shared with MS WEA Staff
• June 6th, 2025 - Support Staff Return Equipment
• June 13th, 2025 - WEA Staff Return Equipment
• June 20th, 2025 - Current Google Accounts Disconnected
• July 14th, 2025 - Begin WEA Staff Reconnection (By appointment links will be provided at a later date.)
• August 18th, 2025 - Begin Support Staff Reconnection (By appointment links will be provided at a later date.)

Support & Resources: 
Technical Support: The JCISD Service Desk continues to provide support for account-related issues, device problems, and other technology concerns until June 30th. If you encounter any technical difficulties unrelated to the Migration, please contact them directly for assistance.
Migration Help: Questions regarding the migration are handled by the Western Technology Department. Please send an email to technology@wsdpanthers.org for assistance.
